The study of History provides the student with an
understanding of and ability to interpret the past.
Completion of the following courses is designed to result in
an associate degree, and meets the general education
requirements at all Idaho public universities. Course selection
should be coordinated to meet requirements for your intended
transfer institution.
Many historians become teachers but others become
professional editors, work in museums or archives, or take
positions with state or federal government agencies. History
also provides an excellent preparation for law school.
Those interested in history careers are encouraged to read Careers for Students of
History (HF5382.H57 S38 2002) which is found in the College of Southern Idaho Library.
